Bristol ROADflow takes to the road

Bristol City Council's ROADflow mobile enforcement car has commenced operation.  The car is patrolling areas around the city's schools, hospitals and taxi ranks.  Warnings will be issued for the first two weeks and fines issued from 30 January 2012.

A council spokesman said that the three-day trial held in February 2011 improved parking behaviours outside schools.  Councillor Tim Kent, executive member for transport said: "The aim is to get everyone parking safely and legally at problem locations particularly around schools, bus stops and loading bays.  It is vital that people do not park in a dangerous manner."
