ROADflow has become the first product in the country to gain manufacturer’s certification for both bus lane and civil parking enforcement from the Department for Transport (DfT). Manufacturer’s certification allows a traffic authority to deploy a ROADflow Mobile or Static camera system in conjunction with evidence review software from ICES without the need for further approval from the Secretary of State.
Leighton Ponting, SEA’s ROADflow Product Sales Manager, said, “Manufacturer’s certification is another major milestone for ROADflow and our partners at ICES. It allows customers to buy an enforcement system that is pre-approved by the DfT so they can start seeing the benefits of reduced congestion and improved safety immediately after its installation.”
ROADflow Mobile produces evidence packs of civil traffic offences which can be automatically generated using ANPR (unattended mode) or triggered manually by an operator (attended mode). The static system operates in unattended mode. ROADflow mobile is the first unattended Mobile system to achieve Manufacturer’s Certification. The evidence packs from all ROADflow variants are delivered securely to the ICES Incident Review Facility software where the decision to issue a Penalty Charge Notice can be made.
