More ROADflow systems tackle anti-social parking

SEA has recently supplied more ROADflow systems to Local Authorities across the UK. The versatile and effective civil enforcement system is proofing particularly effective at traffic hot spots where road safety is a real concern.

Following an increase in complaints by the public about the unlawful parking outside schools Bedford Borough Council needed to act urgently to tackle the problem, which was compounded when two pupils were knocked over in one week. Bedford chose ROADflow Vision+. Cllr Charles Royden, Bedford council said: “This technology will cover its cost and is a sound investment in preserving the life and limb of children attending the Borough schools.”

Under subcontract to ICES, SEA is also providing a Mobile Vision+ system to Hartlepool Borough Council, who have problems with anti-social parking at bus stops and outside schools. The council also plans to use the 25 frames per second video recording package option for environmental crime monitoring.

Plymouth City Council has purchased a Mobile Vision+ system fitted to a Vauxhall Corsa van in order to address problem parking in the City. School entrances, where motorists are putting the safety of others at risk and causing unnecessary congestion will be patrolled regularly using the ROADflow system.
